may moodboard: wanderlust

Picnics, girly accessories, cute organization, and a growing yearning to explore the world form the basis of my current inspirations and mood. In 7 days I hop on a plane and will be wandering these cobbled streets in Europe myself, polka dot dress and black hat included.

A few more recent thoughts of mine include:

1. I need to learn calligraphy asap because watercolors and calligraphy are too good of a trend to pass up. I bought some books, but truly, practice makes perfect with this one. I need to get crackin'.

2. Healthy food can be really, really yummy. Quinoa salads and lighter dishes are no longer going to be ignored. Speaking of healthy, Le Pain Quotidien is one of my new favorite places. Yummmm.  The perfect brunch place. Also, I totally want to try this Pesto Mozzarella Baby Spinach and Avocado Grilled Cheese Sandwich. It's on my list of things to make and eat outside on a sunny day.

3. Design Love Fest has the most adorable desktop wallpapers, I may or may not have like 20 saved on my computer, right now I'm rocking this one and feeling super summery and girly. I love it. (But there are so many winners I can't even begin to explain).

4. I'm dreaming of customized handwritten necklaces and bracelets, Etsy has a few stores that sell them... so cute. The perfect idea for Mother's Day, and some other stores are more do-able in terms of pricing than others.

5. Last, not not least, I need to throw a party. And it need to have wonderfully decorated walls and hours d'oeurvres and a cute little diy project. I'm convinced that gathering together for food and conversation with friends (a la Shauna Niequest) is the best way to spend an evening. Also, now that this chicks got a Bachelor's Degree, I figured it's time to put my adult pants on and throw a rad dinner party already.
