8 things on my "to make soon" list

While I'm not sure of everything in life, I am sure of the fact that if I made every single thing on my Pinterest Do-It-Yourself board, I would have the cutest home in the world. And I would probably never leave it. Just in time for weekend crafting and creating, here are some cute little DIY projects I'm either in the process of making or can't wait to create:

Homemade Candles in a Cute Little Labeled Jar: If you want the honest truth... I did indeed pull this little candle photo into Adobe Illustrator and re-create the label it so I can print it and put it on my own jars. The homemade candle part is cool, but you've seen it a million times before. It was the label I was freaking out over. I just thought it was the cutest thing. And while you could totally find a jar and stick a homemade candle in it and slap on the label, you also could use this label on homemade beauty treatments as well, even like homemade jams or spreads you could put in cute bottles and label likewise. I just felt like the creative, homey feel to the label could go on pretty much anything. It inspired me to make custom labels. Maybe you'll see a little label freebie coming your way soon? Hmmm.

Dream Catchers in Mass Quantities: Maybe it's just the fact that I had a dream catcher over my bed all my childhood and I love how eclectic they are, or maybe it's the fact that I created the coolest t-shirt design with a dream catcher that I have yet to make into a real t-shirt... but I just love these things. If you were to get some small dolleys from thrift stores, some small embroidery hoops, some feathers and string and a few beads, you could make them so easily and for such a reasonable price. They would be so cute all attached to a heavier branch and hung in a bathroom or over your bed or even in a random hallway that needs some love.

Vintage Wallpaper Letters: If you find a good Michaels or Joanns, they sell these letters in a ton of sizes. I totally envision getting the letters with the hollow inside, using some good ol' Mod Podge to glue on some wallpaper found at antique stores or pages of a book from a thrift store or decorative paper from Art Stores, and then since they are so lightweight you could probably just use some Command Strips to attach it into a wall. No nails would even be necessary, booyah!

Interchangeable Wood Photo Gallery: Such a quick and do-able idea for a living room or hallway that you want to turn into a gallery of interchangeable photographs. Buy some wood at Home Depot, have them cut it down into a size that leaves plenty of space on the outskirts for a border on your photographs, sand them really good, stain them a dark color, and use some Super Glue or Hot Glue to attach the little clips you can buy at any office supply store. Hang it up on a wall and voila!

Custom Tinted Flea Market Jars: Couldn't tell you how to make these, but these people can. Couldn't really tell ya any elaborate, creative twists on it. These are just plain rad. And you could stick them anywhere to make a space more creative and eclectic. Love love love. Note to Self: I need to make these soon.

Tin Desk Organizer: Every single time I go into a thrift store or antique store, I look for these tins now. I am dead set on finding these vintage looking tins at a good price. Stuck all together with a rod in the middle, they would be a perfect organizer for desk space, or even for a bathroom that has a vintage vibe to it. I just always see this idea on Pinterest and get all giddy with excitement, such a good idea.

Lace Terracotta Pot Succulent Garden: I am obsessed with succulents, obsessed with lace, and I've always wanted a reason to buy a terracotta pot. So on all three accounts, I'm sold with this idea and will be a willing participant once I have enough money to shamelessly buy a mass amount of succulents.

Up-cycled Jars with Cabinet Knob Accent: To answer your first question, yes I love jars. If you haven't noticed, it's a common theme in my life. You can make so many things with them and when you have too many, you can use them as drinking glasses. Welcome to my life. On another note, I love that you can use old jars that you have hanging around, or that you saved from that cute store-bought pasta sauce, and you can put a unique spin on them. Just add some paint to the top, glue on a cute little $2 knob from Home Depot or Lowes, and you're set. Rough life, right? It literally cannot get any easier than $2, a little paint, and an old jar you'll never use anyway.
