...and so it begins

This blog began as a dream I kept hidden inside my "one day" list in the back of my journal. It was the dream that only came out once in a blue moon in conversations with my closest friends. A dream that I kept shoving off until I began to fear that it would be shoved off forever. One day it just sort-of hit me upside the head; dreams always remain dreams until you put one foot before the other and do something about it.

In this case however, it's less about walking and more about taking the inner recesses of my heart that are flooded with all the creative juices I have, all the inspiration and design ideas, all the adoration for good recipes and trendy fashion, all the love of art and creativity, and sticking it onto the world wide web. Putting it all where not only strangers that love design can see, but where everyone else can see too. This may possibly be vulnerability in the highest degree... but this is also a part of me seeking my dreams to the fullest potential.

This is me doing something about it.
This is me demanding that making lists of what you want to do "eventually" just isn't enough and that those lists cannot possibly be substitutes for pursuing those very things you daydream about.

This blog is not just design, not just lifestyle, it's not just photographs and it's not just writing, not just fashion, not just food, not just one single identifiable thing. It's the mind of a twenty-two year old child-of-God that just so happened to be born creative. It's the thoughts of a girl that loves to enjoy life and is set on making much of the gifts and passions she was given.

My vision is a blog that both creatives and inspiring creatives can find inspiration for a life made more full by being able to express themselves and create whatever it is that their heart wants to say. I envision a blog not only consistent of tutorials and freebies, but of trends in design, encouraging information and inspiration, and sprinkled with a few fun recipes and style tips once in a while. I want it to be a point of meshing creativity with life. Static, boring blogs aren't my thing. I hope that this blog will be anything but.
